As we end another year of food bank service,
the list of those who helped us in 2009 is a testament to an all encompassing community of caring and support. In 2009 we
saw our client lists increase yet again as we reached an all time high by Christmas of 206
families. Without you we would be unable to continue helping them. And thanks to you, the food bank kids each received gifts
of warm clothing and toys.
Take a minute to visit the "Newletter
2009 " page and meet those who joined in this wonderful community effort. From the scouts and the students, to the organizations,
churches and businesses and to all the caring individuals in Lacey - you were there for us. Keep it happening in 2010.
We need you.
On another page "Esteemed Sponsors" you'll meet individuals who commit to monthly donations and businesses
who back us up by supporting at least one food bank family at the cost of $240. annually.
Whatever it is you give or whatever you do, you breathe life into this
organization and for this, the volunteers of the Lacey Food Bank thank you.
Sincerely, Guy Burnett, Chairman
Emeritus
Please Note: Check to see if your employer, whether you are working or
retired, matches your charitable contributions . Last year , three esteemed sponsors were matched by their employers thereby
doubling their gift to us.

Thanks to Craig at Manhattan Bagel who gives us huge bags of bagels for monthly distribution, a treat for all.
Caldwell Bankers collect food for us at their headquarters on an ongoing basis. They are located out by the GSP, on the
south side of Lacey Rd
Thanks to our favorite neighborhood , the Forked River Breakfast Group, who collect food for us at all their
social occasions. We can only wish that this "germ of a good idea" would spread through out the land of Lacey.
Janice Celmer collects coupons from her neighbors, then uses them to buy food for us, a trunkload at a time.

GIFTS OF A " DIFFERENT COLOR "
Rich & Margaret Hauswirth , owners of Hauswirth Insurance Agency, are official
members of the FOFB (Friends of the Food Bank) along with being esteemed sponsors for the last six years. When the food bank
needs a boost, they always come through - with one stipulation, that we do not mention their name. So we
don't BUT
Last
year, along with two other charities, we received over $1,000 from their referral program. Do yourself (and us) a favor and
call them for an estimate on your insurance needs. You'll be pleasantly surprised by the rates and the small town personal
attention you'll receive. To receive their witty informative newsletter give them a call at 693-3123 and tell them you were
referred by the Lacey Food Bank. Then tell your family and friends to do the same
The
Lacey Library holds book drives, then set up a a summer reading program table with free books for the food bank kids
in June.
Amergen donates $3,000 to pay for insuring and registering the Food Bank Van. And bless good ole Jack Ryan from the Recreation
Department who keeps it together for us !
The new Food Bank Teen Committee collected more clothes and toys than we had room for, so George Broome stepped
in and as owner of Lacey Storage , solved the problem with the donation of a lovely roomy unit. Now the Teen committee
happily runs back and forth stuffing it with all sorts of good things .
The Lacey Elks Charitable Committee did a very good deed for someone recently. Thanks for your help, you're
the greatest.
We have a good friend at the Forked River Gazette. Thanks to Jennifer, the word has been spread about our Memorial
& Celebrations page.. Thanks Jennifer for that and for publishing our schedule each month.
We are so grateful for all the helping hands from Lacey Township - the office support from township administrator
Veronica Laureigh & her staff - Fran & Pat - Casey Parker & his monthly food moving crew sent to us (sheer salvation)
- Bud, Jack & Fred, the great guys in John Kilmurry’s recreation department who provide transportation and delivery to the housebound.
And finally, the support we receive from the township committee.......We couldn't do it without them
